Former Minister Michael Lowry is at the centre of a new controversy.

He claims to have been told by a journalist that he and his company face possible prosecution over alleged Revenue offences.

The independent Deputy has said it is outrageous that confidential and sensitive tax information appears to have been leaked to the press.

Mr Lowry has said the leak is a breach of the Revenue Commissioners' own Code of Practice and is confident his affairs will be upheld in court.
