A Dublin man has appeared in court charged over the death of a woman in a car crash in Fairview last May.

A Dublin man has appeared in court charged over the death of a woman in a car crash in Fairview last May.

43-year-old Sineád Maguire from Bayview Avenue died when the car she was a passenger in hit a pole at the junction of Malahide Road.

There were three people in the car when it crashed into a pole in Fairview in the early hours of May 29 last.

Maguire died in the collision and today Eric Wainsboro from Cherry Garth, River Valley Swords appeared in court charged with dangerous driving causing her death.

Heis also accused of dangerous driving causing serious injury to Ian McDonagh.

The 26-year-old was previously charged with the unauthorised taking of a vehicle on the date of the crash.

Judge Anthony Halpin has remanded him on bail until November 6.
