21,000 working days were lost to industrial disputes last year, the lowest in 30 years, according to the Labour Court's annual report.
The report said the number of lost working days last year was more than 93,000 less than in 2001, a decrease of 77%.
The Labour Court said it dealt with 940 disputes in 2002, an increase of 6% on the previous year's figures.
The court's annual report said the number of equality-related cases rose significantly during the year, with several people claiming they were sacked for being pregnant.
