There's been a 6% increase in the number of new injecting drug users at the Merchants Quay treatment centre in Dublin, it was revesled today.

There's been a 6% increase in the number of new injecting drug users at the Merchants Quay treatment centre in Dublin, it was revesled today.

The charity says the Government needs to implement the National Drugs Strategy immediately if it is to curb the increasing abuse of heroin and cocaine.

The group's annual report also shows that 20% of people using its homeless services are now from new EU accession countries.
