Two gardaí have received awards for their part in tackling music piracy.

The awards are the first to be granted by IRMA as part of a new scheme to recognise the contribution made by gardaí in anti-piracy efforts.

Inspectors Declan Good from Tullamore and Brendan Cadden from Drogheda have been given the accolade.

IRMA says the Irish music industry loses millions of euros to music piracy every year.
