A new move targeted at employing disabled people is being launched this afternoon.

The project called ‘Workway’ hopes to encourage companies in the private sector to hire people with disabilities.

The project is a joint ICTU-IBEC initiative. Jackie Harrison from IBEC says that not only is there a moral imperative on employers to hire disabled people but they are missing out on an opportunity.

She insists that in today’s society there is a need to draw on the experiences and talents of everybody.
