A total of 359 people are awaiting treatment on trolleys at hospitals around the country this lunchtime.

A total of 359 people are awaiting treatment on trolleys at hospitals around the country this lunchtime.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says the highest number is at Tallaght in Dublin, with 42 patients awaiting admission.

Outside the capital, Limerick Regional has the highest number of people on trolleys, at 35.
