A man who raped and indecently assaulted a woman in Cork almost 35 years ago is to be sentenced later.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to one count of raping the woman between January 1, 1980 and April 30, 1980 at an address in a Cork town.
He further pleaded guilty to three counts of indecently assaulting the woman between October 25, 1976 and October 24, 1979.
Mr Justice Paul Carney declared the man a sex offender and remanded him on bail for sentencing in June.
