President Mary McAleese has urged the public not to play down the strength of Ireland’s economy.

The President was speaking at the National Organisation of the Unemployed’s annual conference today.

She also highlighted the growing divide between the rich and the poor and believes the economic landscape is changing but she believes the benefits of the Celtic Tiger can be achieved again.
