West Ham manager Alan Pardew claims he would like to sign Liverpool striker Milan Baros.
Reds boss Rafael Benitez will listen to offers for the 23-year-old Czech international following the £7m (€10.1m) signing of Peter Crouch.
Pardew told Sky Sports News: “I’m not going to talk about Milan directly because he’s still under contract.
“But we are after a striker and if someone of his quality is available, I am going to go after him.”
The Hammers have already failed this summer with a £6m (€8.6m) bid for Crouch.
Pardew also confirmed he wants another look at Czech striker, Petr Mikolanda, before making a decision on whether to sign the player.
“We haven’t had a lot of opportunities to look at him so we’ll probably have another look at Yeovil (on Saturday). The same goes for our trialist goalkeeper Juraj Bucek and we’ll make a decision on them soon.”
