Naseem Hamed will make his long-awaited return to the ring against Manuel Calvo Junior in March.
He has not fought since losing his world featherweight title to Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas last April.
Hamed will relaunch his career against Calvo at the London Arena on March 23.
The Spaniard has not been knocked out in 38 professional bouts but Hamed is confident the fight can help him regain his lost stature.
Speaking on his loss to Barrera, he said: "It has not hurt me one bit at all. He was the best man on that day only. I will take him out when I meet him again.
"I want to get back to where I really should be in boxing - and that was years ago.
"I used to go out and box in a certain way to frustrate fighters and take them out in my own time but being eager to take people out and win in style is sometimes too much.
"I believe 100% I will be major box office again, especially in Britain.
"People like to watch me box and when I have fought in London it has always sold out."
