'Straight talking' as Paisley meets Ahern

Democratic Unionist Ian Paisley emerged from his meeting with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern saying some straight talking had taken place.

Democratic Unionist Ian Paisley emerged from his meeting with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern saying some straight talking had taken place.

He said the IRA would have to end all activities, dismantle its structures and decommission its weapons.

He also indicated that the DUP would need time to test the IRA and he believed that five months would be acceptable.
