A woman aged in her 40s has died in a road accident in Co Kerry this morning.

A woman aged in her 40s has died in a road accident in Co Kerry this morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened shortly before 9am on the Ballyduff to Tralee road at Ballincosig Cross, Lixnaw, Co Kerry.

Two teenage passengers were removed by ambulance to Tralee General Hospital. Their condition is not known.

The road at the scene of the crash is closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda forensic collision investigators.
