Down shooting believed to be linked to paramilitaries

A man is being treated in hospital after being shot in the leg in a seaside resort last night.

A man is being treated in hospital after being shot in the leg in a seaside resort last night.

The victim, in his 30s, was shot in the right calf shortly after 10pm in Rathgill Parade, in Bangor, Co Down.

Police said he appeared to be the victim of a paramilitary-style shooting.
