Corrie's Kevin furious as Rosie accidentally swaps baby

Corrie's Rosie Webster accidentally swaps her baby half-brother for a little girl.

The ‘Coronation Street’ model – played by Helen Flanagan – borrows dad Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell) son Jack for an audition, but horrifies her father when she returns home with the wrong child.

Helen said: “It’s terrible, because Rosie pretends to Kevin that she wants to get to know Jack better.

“But the truth is, she’s lying because she needs to have a baby in order to win a modelling contract that pays really well. In reality, Rosie couldn’t care less about Jack.”

However, when Rosie fails the audition, she is distracted and disheartened, leading her to pick up the wrong baby.

Helen added to Inside Soap magazine: “It’s not even a baby boy either! She brings a little girl home. When she realises what she’s done, she’s absolutely horrified. She starts panicking and ringing her agent, and doesn’t really know what to do. Then Kevin comes over and goes mad.”

With relations in the Webster household already strained following the revelation that Kevin fathered Jack after an affair with his best friend’s wife Molly (Vicky Binns) - who died after the tram crash, leaving the baby in the mechanic’s care – the latest events make family matters even worse.

Helen added: “Kevin is absolutely seething and has a massive go at her when he finds out Jack’s missing.

“He tells her that she’s selfish and self-obsessed – and then he says that he doesn’t want to talk to her any more. Rosie’s devastated.”
