Three arrested after crash linked to Belfast crime spree
Three people have been arrested after a car crash in Belfast linked to a weekend crime spree.
Two cars were stolen in the Holywood area outside the city on Friday evening, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
One of the vehicles was later used in a burglary at a fashion shop on the Lisburn Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The car was used to “ram raid” the shop window and stock was taken from inside, a PSNI spokesman said.
Police investigating the series of incidents have arrested three people in the Cliftonville Drive area of the city.
The suspects were detained after a serious road collision in north Belfast.
The PSNI said an adult and two juveniles will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow in relation to the “ram raid” incident, several other burglaries, aggravated taking of a vehicle and motoring offences.
