Cork is preparing to welcome Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on the final leg of her Irish tour today.

Cork is preparing to welcome Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on the final leg of her Irish tour today.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh visited the Rock of Cashel in Co Tipperary this morning before travelling on to Coolmore Stud for a private visit.

Later this afternoon, they will visit the English Market and the Tyndall Institute, before travelling to Cork Airport for their return flight to Britain.

The royal couple are due at the English Market within the next half-hour.
