Today's trading saw Elan pharmaceuticals share price rise 11c to €4.61 on the ISEQ.
Earlier the company announced that it had completed the $101.8m (€83.6m) sale of its four pain products and related assets to aaiPharma Inc.
The payment took the form of a cash consideration of $50.4m (€41m) and $51.4m (€42m) of Elan’s product related payments.
Financial stock saw AIB down 6c to €12.37 while Anglo-Irish rose 5c to €11.45.
Bank of Ireland remained static on €10.60.
FBD were down 9c to €12.91 while Irish Life and Permanent was one of the main movers - up 10c to €12.00.
Jurys Doyle was a big mover. The hotel chain reported a 20c jump in its share price to €10.10.
On the aviation front, low fares carrier Ryanair gained 5c to €6.38. Its November traffic statistics will be released tomorrow.
