Garda hit by car in Co Monaghan
A Garda sergeant was injured in a hit-and-run accident in the early hours of this morning in Castleblaney, Co Monaghan.
A white Peugeot car reportedly struck the sergeant at around 3.40am, knocking him to the ground.
Gardai chased the car, but lost it in the Oram area as it headed for the border.
