American film star musicians Bruce Willis, Dennis Quaid and Kevin Bacon will perform with their bands in US cities where movies in which they starred were filmed.
The outdoor concerts will be free and open to the public and will be followed by screenings of the movie filmed there.
Kicking off the series is Quaid, who will perform on June 21 in New Orleans, where his hit 1987 movie The Big Easy was filmed.
The Big Easy will be shown in a grassy plaza along the Mississippi River near the French Quarter after the concert with Quaid and his band, The Sharks.
On July 15, Kevin and Michael Bacon of The Bacon Brothers band will perform at West Shore Park on Baltimore’s inner harbour, where Kevin Bacon’s 1982 coming-of-age film Diner was filmed.
Closing the series on August 2 is The Bruce Willis Blues Band, which will perform at the Kennedy Space Centre in Cape Canaveral, Florida, where portions of the 1998 Academy Award-nominated science fiction movie Armageddon were filmed.
