Irish airlines have reportedly attracted the highest number of complaints in the EU for the second consecutive year.

Reports this morning say the latest figures from the European Consumer Centre show that complaints against Irish airlines increased three-fold last year.

Of the complaints made to the ECC's Dublin office, Ryanair accounted for 70% and Aer Lingus for almost 30%.

The main areas of complaint were lost luggage, cancelled flights and delays.
