Survey reveals 33,000 newly built empty houses
A countrywide property survey has put the overhang of newly built vacant houses or apartments at 33,000.
The Department of the Environment survey of over 2,800 developments was carried out during the summer.
Its publication comes with the unveiling of a new expert group whose job it is to produce a manual on how to deal with the country's ghost estates.
