Dublin Gardaí treat Latvian man's death as suspicious

Gardaí are now treating the death of a man in north Dublin as suspicious.

It is thought the body of 22-year-old Denise Timosejevs may have been moved to the field near Swords where his remains were found, after his death.

The body of the Latvian national was found by a farmer on his land at Balheary near Swords in north Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

A public appeal for information saw the remains identified as those of Denise Timosejevs who lived at the nearby Applewood estate.

A post mortem found he died from internal injuries.

It is understood the scene where his body was found was re-examined yesterday, leading Gardaí to believe that he did not die in the field.

One theory being examined is that he may have been the victim of a hit-and-run after which his body was moved to the more remote location.

Investigating officers are due to issue an appeal for information later this afternoon.
