A man in his 60s has been airlifted to hospital after being rescued from near to Carrantuohill in Co Kerry this evening.
He got into difficulty when he sustained injuries to his arms at around 3pm this afternoon.
A Kerry Mountain Rescue team stretchered the man to a level from where a coastguard helicopter airlifted him. It was their second attempt at an airlift after an earlier effort failed.
The man is receiving treatment at Tralee General Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
