Ralph Ryan, who is aged 32 and originally from Limerick, has been living in the west side of the city for the past year and a half.

Mr Ryan is a student at the GMIT and was last seen in the sea road area of Sathill at around 4pm on Thursday.

He is described as 5 foot 11 in height, over 13 stone, has neatly cut red short hair and usually wears dark clothing.

Yesterday, Valentia Coastguard took part in a routine search of the bay and today the RNLI is assisting.
