Aer Lingus plane grounded after crash

An Aer Lingus plane has been grounded at Shannon airport after it was hit by a baggage handling truck this morning.

An Aer Lingus plane has been grounded at Shannon airport after it was hit by a baggage handling truck this morning.

The truck was offloading luggage from the plane, which had no passengers on board at the time.

Aer Lingus said serious structural damage was caused but nobody was injured in the incident.

Flight EI 1372 had been due to fly to London at 8.55am.
