The PSNI and the Gardaí have agreed to share information on sex offenders in Ireland.

The PSNI and the Gardaí have agreed to share information on sex offenders in Ireland.

It will be used to help in the protection of the public from the threat of sex offenders and in the investigation of serious sexual offences.

The agreement, which was signed at Leinster House this afternoon, formalises the existing exchange of information and sets out clear procedures.
