Robbie Hennessy will consider his next move with Sublimity after deciding decided against running his stable stalwart in the Limestone Lad Hurdle at Naas due to the heavy going.

The former champion hurdler won his first race for over two years in a conditions event at Cork recently, but the prospect of two miles and three furlongs and testing ground persuaded Hennessy to give the race a miss.

“The ground has gone to heavy and with it being over two-three we decided against it,” said Hennessy.

“We’d have took a chance on good ground but it would be too much for him.

“I’m going to have a look at the Irish Champion. If there’s only four or five runners he might run but there’s a couple of conditions races in February for him.

“It will be a last-minute decision.”
