Man rescued off Waterford coast

A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being rescued off the Waterford Coast.

A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being rescued off the Waterford Coast.

It is understood a ship took a roll in Waterford Harbour and the captain was knocked over and fell unconscious.

The South East coastguard helicopter rescued the man, on the second attempt, after strong winds hampered earlier operations. He is being treated in Waterford General Hospital.
