Skeletal remains found to be of missing Dublin man

Gardaí have formally identified human remains which were found in the Dublin Mountains on Sunday as those of James Kenny McDonagh.

Gardaí have formally identified human remains which were found in the Dublin Mountains on Sunday as those of James Kenny McDonagh.

The 28-year-old from Islandbridge in Dublin had been missing for fourteen months.

He was last seen in the Ballyfermot area on October 27, 2010, the car he had been driving was found burned out later that day.

His skeletal remains were discovered by hillwalkers last Sunday afternoon in woodland about 14 kilometres from Tallaght.

A post mortem examination was carried out on Mr McDonagh's remains yesterday, but Gardaí have not yet confirmed how he died.
