Striking workers at Mount Carmel Hospital in Dublin are planning to extend their protest this morning by targeting the agency supplying the temporary staff who are filling in for them.

The SIPTU members are planning to picket the offices of Noel Recruitment in Sandyford and in Dublin city centre.

More than 60 catering workers have been on strike since Wednesday over the outsourcing of their jobs.

Talks at the Labour Relations Commission aimed at breaking the deadlock are due to begin at midday today.
