Gardaí are investigating what they have described as a "suspicious death" of a man in Waterford.

Gardaí are investigating what they have described as a "suspicious death" of a man in Waterford.

The body of the man was discovered at around 9.20am this morning at an apartment on Wellington Street, Waterford.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Pathologist has been notified and the scene is currently preserved pending a Garda Technical Examination.
