Two men have been arrested over the murder of Real IRA terror boss Alan Ryan.
Gardaí said the suspects, in their late 20s and late 30s, were detained under special anti-gang laws.
The pair are being held in Coolock, north Dublin, under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned over seven days.
Ryan was shot dead on September 3 while walking with an associate on Grange Lodge Avenue, Clongriffin, north Dublin.
The 32-year-old’s Real IRA faction was involved in extortion and intimidation of drug dealers and racketeering against pub and club owners.
