Government to discuss sale of State assets today

Selling off key state assets including energy companies will be on the agenda as the Cabinet meets this morning.

It follows their party think-ins during the last few days.

The Government said that it remains committed to raising €2bn from the sale of State assets, but the EU and the IMF wants them to go further.

Ministers will also discuss the Vatican's response to the Cloyne report and the 570 job losses at Talk Talk in Waterford yesterday.
