Three peace groups who were seminal in the organisation of last February’s anti-war rally, are to hold a demonstration in Dublin today.

The Peace and Neutrality Alliance, the Irish Anti-War Movement and the NGO Peace Alliance are to march from Parnell Square to Government buildings.

The protest aims to highlight continuing opposition to the occupation of Iraq by US and British forces.

They will also be sending a strong message to the Irish Government that Irish troops should not be sent to Iraq.

Colm Stevens of the Irish War Movement says the families of Irish troops are extremely worried that their sons will be sent to Iraq.
