Nicolas Cage will star in supernatural thriller 'Pay the Ghost'.
The 50-year-old star will play a New York University English professor whose 8-year-old son mysteriously vanishes from a Halloween day parade, reports Variety.com.
The film will be directed by Uli Edel from a script penned by Dan Kay, based on Tim Lebbon's story of the same name.
Meanwhile, the studio is still looking to cast the female lead with the aim to begin shooting in the late summer.
Cage last hit the big screen in 'Joe' where he portrayed the titular character and the film received generally positive reviews from critics.
This year is a busy one for the Hollywood A-Lister as he will star in 2014 blockbusters 'Tokarev', 'Left Behind' and 'Outcast' and is currently working on 2015's 'The Dying of the Light' which is in post-production.
