Limerick: Quadruple murder suspect taken to hospital for surgery

A man arrested in connection with the murders of four people in Co Limerick yesterday, has been taken to hospital in Cork for surgery.

A man arrested in connection with the murders of four people in Co Limerick yesterday, has been taken to hospital in Cork for surgery.

The 31-year old was detained in a pub in Kilkee, Co Clare following the discovery of four bodies in a house in Newcastle West.

Sarah Hines, her three-year-old son, Reece, five-month-old baby daughter Amy, and another woman, Alicia Brough from Cork, were found stabbed to death in the house in the Hazelgrove estate – the youngsters upstairs and the women downstairs.

The arrested man is believed to heve been the partner of one of the women.
