Two men escaped unharmed after a shot was fired at their car from a passing motorcycle in Northern Ireland.

Two men escaped unharmed after a shot was fired at their car from a passing motorcycle in Northern Ireland.

The pair were driving along Barnfield Road in Lisburn at around 8.30pm when they were overtaken by two people on a red motorcycle.

As they headed towards the Deriaghy Road, the pillion passenger fired one shot through the windscreen.

Detectives investigating the shooting do not believe it was sectarian.

The police have asked anyone with information to help their investigation.
