Leo Varadkar has been elected in Dublin West on the second count.
The Fine Gael TD added 196 transfers to his tally bringing him to 8,555 votes, over the quota of 8,495.
Deputy Varadkar is the second TD to be elected in the four-seat constituency after Labour's Joan Burton earlier became the first deputy returned to the 31st Dáil.
Currently in line to take the remaining two seats are Independent Joe Higgins and Fianna Fáil's Brian Lenihan, on 8,304 and 6,494 respectively.
