The North’s police board has met for the first time today with an open questions and answers session with the current chief constable, Ronnie Flanagan.

The board has 19 members, nine of which were appointed by the British government.

The UUP has four seats, the DUP three and the SDLP two.

Sinn Fein is boycotting the board because it believes the new police service is too far removed from the "new beginning" promised in the Good Friday Agreement.
