All-Ireland champions Kerry have received 12 nominations in this year's Vodafone Football All-Stars, after a panel of 45 players was announced today.
Not surprisingly 21-year-old forward Colm Cooper, who netted 1-5 in last month's Sam Maguire defeat of Mayo, leads the way with the O Se brothers - Marc and Thomas, and skipper Dara O Cinneide included.
Twelve counties are represented in all, with suprise packet Fermanagh earning a deserved seven nominations - the highest ever in the Ernesiders' history. They include goalkeeper Niall Tinney, midfielder Marty McGrath and free-taking forward Colm Bradley.
All three Ireland goal scorers in Sunday's International Rules first test - Steven McDonnell, Mattie Forde and Padraig Joyce are in with a chance of recognition, with Killeavy attacker McDonnell one of five players also nominated in 2003.
Team mate Francie Bellow, Laois' Joe Higgins and Tom Kelly and Tyrone midfielder Sean Cavanagh are the others.
The final selection will be made and announced on November 24, with the awards presented at the gala banquet two days later.
