Paul Curran is to manage Round Towers Clondalkin for the 2006 season, in what will be the former Dublin defender's first full-time coaching role.
Curran, an All-Ireland winner in 1995, ended his playing days in 2003 having played 50 senior championship matches for his county.
The 36-year-old took over as caretaker boss of Tallaght club St Mark's for a brief spell two seasons ago, when his former team mate Brian Stynes emigrated to Australia.
Curran is expected to bring another ex-Dub Darren Homan, who retired from the game last summer due to a serious back injury, into his backroom staff at Round Towers. The Clondalkin club finished seventh in the Dublin Adult Football League Division 1 last year.
