Brendan Donnelly (aged 24) and 26-year-old Lee Salkeld from Waterford died in the two-car collision outside Castlemartyr in October.

They had been on their way to Cork Airport to catch a flight to Amsterdam with their partners, who both survived the crash.

Anthony Long from Leadington in Leamlara appeared in court this morning charged with dangerous driving causing their deaths.

His solicitor said the accused was prepared to go forward to the Circuit Criminal Court on a signed guilty plea.

He was remanded on bail to appear in court again on June 15.
