Crash victim named

The victim of yesterday’s fatal road crash at Toomevara, Co Tipperary, has been named.

The victim of yesterday’s fatal road crash at Toomevara, Co Tipperary, has been named.

Kevin Walsh, 16, from Bruff, Co Limerick, was a rear seat passenger in a car when it collided with a 4X4 on the N7 at shortly after 5am.

His death takes the total number of road fatalities to date this year to 97.

Two other occupants of the car suffered slight injuries. The driver of the 4x4, who was travelling alone, was not injured.
