Almost €160m is being spent repairing and improving primary and secondary roads next year.

Almost €160m is being spent repairing and improving primary and secondary roads next year.

The bulk of the cash, almost €140m, is being allocated to improvements while the remainder is for maintenance.

Planned upgrades include the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin scheme, the N5 from Westport to Turlough and the N22 Ballyvourney to Macroom road.
