14% of students ineligible to vote

A campaign is being launched to have every student in Ireland on the electoral register.

A campaign is being launched to have every student in Ireland on the electoral register.

There are currently 86% of the country’s 135,000 students eligible to vote.

USI President Richard Hammond has called for the remaining 14%, around 20,000, to utilise their vote, as he believes most students are simply unaware they are not registered.
