Bitbuzz Ireland surpasses one million registered users

WiFi network operator Bitbuzz Ireland has today that it now has in excess of one million registered users.

The number has doubled in 14 months to a record 1,026,000 registered users.

Bitbuzz now provides Wi-Fi in over 120 hotels across the UK and Ireland. The company also has a presence in the coffee shop, retail and hair salon sectors.

"We are delighted that we have surpassed the one million landmark," said Shane Deasy, managing director of Bitbuzz.

"It is a great achievement for the company and we aim to keep growing. The latest numbers reflect our strategy of offering fast, efficient Wi-Fi to hotels/public areas/tourists attractions nationwide.

"Earlier this year we announced a number of new partnerships in coffee shops, hotels and restaurants in the UK and Ireland that have had a big impact on the amount of logins and registered users we recorded."

Some of the new contracts and partnerships announced by Bitbuzz since January 2012 include Applegreen, Tune Hotels; Belmore Court Hotel; Insomnia Coffee; Wyndham Hotels; Easy Hotels, Michael Deane’s Restaurant and Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.

Bitbuzz has also extended partnerships with Three Ireland, Costa Coffee and Carlton Hotels.
