The first round of the EA Sports Cup continues this evening, with four games due to be played.

The first round of the EA Sports Cup continues this evening, with four games due to be played.

Athlone Town host Longford, Castlebar Celtic meet Finn Harps, Tullamore are up against UCD and Cork City take on Kerry League.

FC Carlow are through to the second round after a 3-2 win over Cobh Ramblers yesterday.

Elsewhere, Conan Byrne scored twice as Sporting Fingal beat Monaghan United 2-1, while Drogheda United picked up their first competitive win of the season with a 2-0 win over Bray Wanderers.
