A man will appear in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with an investigation in relation to a number of stabbing incidents.

The man was arrested following the violent disorder at a concert in the Phoenix Park in the capital on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old man will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning after he was arrested by Gardaí following a number of stabbings at the Swedish House Mafia concert in Phoenix Park on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Gardaí are today continuing their appeal for anyone who may have witnessed any of the violent events that occurred over the course of Saturday evening which saw a total of 11 assaults - nine of which were stabbings.

Two people remain in a serious condition in hospital after sustaining stab wounds.

It is not yet clear if all stabbings were carried out by one or a number of individuals.

More than 30 arrests were made over the course of the night for incidences including public order offences, assaults and possession of drugs for personal use.

Elsewhere, Gardaí are continuing to appeal for the public's help in identifying a man who died after becoming ill at the same event.

At around 7pm on Saturday evening the man sought medical attention from staff and was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is not believed his death was a result of an assault.
