Right 2 Water announces national day of protest to keep campaign as 'No.1 election issue'

A national day of protest has been announced by the Right 2 Water campaign.

A national day of protest has been announced by the Right 2 Water campaign.

Demonstrations will be held on January 23 across the country.

The organisation says the campaign has not gone away and this will be one of a number of protests held in the lead-up to the General Election.

Brendan Ogle says they are working to ensure the right to water is the number one election issue.

He said: "There are going to be more Right 2 Water events in the New Year. On the 23rd of January, Right 2 Water will be calling a national day of protest and it will be one of a number of events we will be having in the run-up to the General Election.

"We promised when Right 2 Water emerged as a protest, as a campaign about a human right to water, that it would be the number one election issue."
